AFLAC sued by the ACLU

The ACLU along with the NAACP and La Raza filed a joint discrimination law suit against The American Family Life Assurance Company, also known as AFLAC for the continual use of a white duck to promote their company.  They stated that AFLAC was being Racist and was not reflecting the true racial makeup of America. The ACLU submitted a side by side photo comparison, that of the current Duck and a more appropriate multi-cultural colored Duck. AFLAC refused to comment. An unofficial source told ABC News that in a effort to improve their image they did make a commercial with their duck break dancing to rap music and handing out free money.

  1. How petty! AFLAC is showing commercials that relate to humans. The kind of duck most likely to be seen around humans is the kind of duck used in the commercials. The other duck pictured is a wilder kind of duck that would not "interact" so much with humans. What about the rock dove (pigeon) that AFLAC has used in their commercials? It has black and white colors. The ACLU should find more important issues to deal with. They should get a life! And when they do, I hope it is just "ducky."

  2. Dear Anonymous, I think you are right. Personally I like Daffy Duck. He's a black duck but he has a good sense of humor and seems to get along with everyone. He doesn't let his speech impediment hold him back and is quick to say what's on his mind. He quacks me up.
