For you Boeing lovers/haters, the article clearly states Airbus a319. But it also states in the first sentence of the article that "caused the passengers on the Spirit Airlines flight to turn back to the airport." might have been easier had the ac returned to the airport also
If this was a Boeing aircraft, DM would have it at the top of the page. BLOCK headlines stating something like "PANIC in the skies as BOEING suffers NEAR CATASTOPHIC FAILURE"
To the person who wrote this article: In English, we say "fell off", not "fell down" when a piece of something detaches from the main object. A building falls down. A brick falls off the building.
